Photoplay Snow White Article
Established in 1911 out of Chicago, Photoplay was one of the first of the film fan magazines. Known for its stunning "star-power" covers, it was during the 1920s and 30s that it reached its peak in popularity and became an influential force within the movie industry. About three months after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered at the Carthay Circle Theatre, an article on how the film was created appeared in the April 1938 issue which featured actress Carole Lombard gracing the cover.
