In the early 1990s,
Pogs was the name of an extremely popular game that involved the use of small individual discs (or pogs). It became such a huge fad that thousands of types of pogs were manufactured by everyone from toy companies, sports teams and movie studios to charity organizations and anti-drug campaigns.
To promote the release of
Snow White on VHS, Disney teamed up with K-Mart to offer an eight disc pog set to customers who pre-ordered the video for a $1.99. Note: In
this earlier post, you can see the K-mart button with Dopey where he is shown holding the pog set in his hand.
