Something very special

Ciao my crafty friends. No change in the weather in the Fens again and a heavy dew this morning, real September, but one of my sons assures me that the promised Indian Summer is on it's way and will last a couple of weeks........bring it on is all I can say because last night was freezing and I was temped to flick the central heating switch.

Now awards, you all know I am a bad blogger when it comes to these and whilst it is lovely to be awarded them, I let you all down when it comes to passing them on as I explain here.

But yesterday my blogging buddy Sarah sent me an award........thank you so much Sarah......it is one I had never received before and we got 'talking' about my bad habits on that front and I felt rather guilty and sent her the link above. She said it was a shame she could not lift Bernie as he looks adorable.......this set me thinking and inspired by Sarah and especially for her is.........................drum roll.......................The Bernie Crafters Award.

I do hope you like it Sarah and will accept it and also not mind if I offer it to any fellow dog and animal loving crafters who want to pinch it for their blogs as well, as Bernie has caused a bit of a stir.

I need to go take some pictures and as the sun is shining now hopefully that will be in the garden then will return later with some crafty shares of what I will be up to over the weekend.

Back Home to meet Bernie and an award for all my blogging friends

Good morning one and all, well where do I start ? The holiday was fab, Mr Blogger played along and I want to say a huge thank you to all my blogging buddies for continuing to visit me........and leaving me so many awards which I deal with shortly.

But a bit of news first, the fellow in this picture is called Bernie and he was here to greet us when we got home. One of our sons has agreed to offer a home to Bernie who is four and came from the RSPCA rescue centre. It sounds as though he's had a pretty traumatic life so far and much as we were surprised by his arrival, you all know me and animals ! The three labs look so small against him but seem to be getting along OK, so now we all need to help build Bernie's confidence - he's afraid of the dark, very quiet and needs lots and lots of love, so he's come to the right place.

This picture does not really give credit to Bernies size so planning one or two with the labs to get things into perspective and will post later.

On the the awards, it's always lovely to receive them and to come back from holiday to so many........nine it total........is absolutely amazing and I can't thank you all enough. They come from: Shirley, Lynda, Dawn, Tracy, Sarah, Mel, Cherry,

As I have said lots of times before, I find the passing on part so so hard and I know lots of your share this problem. I would really like to pass these awards on to all the lovely people I have 'met' through blogland as a thank you for their continued support and encouragement.

I know I am repeating myself here, but I believe crafting is a continual learning curve and we all draw inspiration from one another, that's what it's all about. I know I am a coward for avoiding the decision making so instead of passing these awards on individually, they are awarded to all my blogging friends........this might not be in the 'rules' but will give me so much pleasure and hope those visiting will fee able to accept and lift one (or more) as a personl thank you from me.

Now to the nasty part of holidays, washing and putting everything away, then hopefully some crafting. I usually find it really hard after a holiday and the creative juices run a bit slow, but I do have some new products waiting to be used so am hopeful they will help Mr Mojo get back into action quickly. And I do have my Rosie Dees challenge card and sneak peek to post which I did before the hols so will post that shortly to get things moving along.

More candy and award

Oh my goodness, not had any blogging time today then I get a mail and just have to share the news. I won last weeks Everybody Art Challenge and the prize is some stamps ......... it's the same card that was also selected in Cupcake Top Five - this is the card.


And on top of that Linda in Hawaii has given me an award and there are also two from Lisa. Thank you so much Linda adn Lisa, I will be passing them along with the awards I received earlier this week. But behind on doing those things and been rather lax this weekend in visiting blogs, so sorry folks but working hard on samples for Stamp Addicts (think I'm allowed to tease you and say a new shows in the offing) and not even done this weeks Penny Black challenge, so lots to do later to catch up.

Well, don't know what I've been doing to deserve all this but I've won candy on this weeks ICS challenge then two awards from Shirley and one from Lorraine.


So again I have to pass these on and as usual I'd like to send them to all of you for visiting me and all your lovely comments. But as we know, that's not in the rules, so it be thinking about it and be back later for the passing on.

Awards again

Goodness what a week it's turning out to be, yet another award this time from Lauren, thank you so much for all your support and kind words - please check out her blog for some great artwork and also to see her beautiful dogs. I can't thank all my blogging buddies enough for all their wonderful support this week, it's really helped make me feel better.

Yet another award

My goodness, Debs has given me an award, my second of the day ........ I'm overwhelmed by all this kindness, you girls really are wonderful blog buddies, that's all I can think of to say and thank you so very much.

I have been doing a bit of crafting today, I'm supposed to be resting but figure crafting is therapeutic and good for the soul, so can't do much harm ........ mind you one or two of the comments and typos I've left confirm my eyes aren't quite as they should be.

Another award

My blog buddy Lorraine has given me this award, she knows I have been under the weather this week and meant to be resting so sent me a lovely message and this award to cheer me up. Thank you so much Lorraine ........ and you have given me the chance to come into my craft room ........ well I had to say thank you ! And thank you everyone else who has also sent me get well messages, all much appreciated.

Ooooops

OMG, realised I chose six last night to pass the award on to, clearly I had a numerically bad day yesterday. So to even things up I did say to Lisa she might prefer the flowers, so that would leave five for the cart award !! Is that a credible argument, I do hope so would hate to abuse blogger rules and all that.

Just of to StampAddicts now to deliver a batch of cards for their next TV show which is coming up in a week so's time. Sure Sarah will be posting up the exact dates and times very shortly and sure I will be able to share some of the samples very shortly.

Still a bit dry on the card front, so sharing another picture of this patch of digitalis which are ahead of all the others around the garden, the colours are so wonderful (ignore the shrub behind them, it looks a bit sad as it was caught by a late frost, but beginning to show new growth).

Passing award on

A whole day passed and not a single card made, even my OH's worried about me. Not that I haven't been in my craft room I have, but I spent most of the afternoon labouring over the new laptop trying to transfer my Cricut Design Studio from my desktop and at long last with the help of "Wayne in Utah" it's finally sorted. I also spent an indulgent half hour talking to my best friend Luciana, who you probably guessed by the name is Italian - she lives in Campobasso about 100 miles south of Rome. And guess what ........ she's coming to visit in July, not seen her for about four years ........ I'm so excited. And then in August we go to Italy.

Anyway, enough babble, I need to pass this award on (piccy in the post below) which I'm told is for "For those with Great Attitude and Gratitude" and of course I would love to give it to so many of you, but that's not allowed. It was tough enough picking out ten when I got the last ones and this time it's only five, so please nobody be offended, I'll get round to everyone eventually ........ well of course, that's assuming I ever get another one to pass on. Another award, wow !

I go out for a few hours and when I get back there's another award waiting for me, two in one week, cool or what ? The lovely lady who has given me this is called Jo and the award is apparently "For those with Great Attitude and Gratitude", gracious, me ........ perhaps I am doing something right after all with my incessant babbling and obsessive crafting.

So thank you so much Jo, I have left a message on your blog as well. Do you know, I've seem this lemonade card on other blogs and always wondered what it was all about, know I know. Wow. I know I need to pass this along, so will be giving it some thought.

And because I've been out all morning ........ yes, before anyone asks, there was a short crafty diversion to Stampalot, but the visit was genuine, I had to pick up a Cricut cartridge for class next week ........ and by sheer coincidence found a stamp I liked, but really I was not looking, it somehow came my direction. As if !

Another Froggy award

I have an award from Mel and she even offered me a choice, how cool is that. So I have opted for the froggie as have a bit of a theme going on here thanks to Jem who sent me a froggy award after the demise of one Mr Froggy in her garden. Mind you, looking at Mels piccy I'm not overly worried the species is under threat of extinction. Not sure about the protocol here, may need to do the right thing and pass it on so will have to check it out.

Two awards came my way

Good morning all, now I was all set to start work on some new TV material today, can't tell more, still a closely guarded secret but promise to share soon.

But when I opened up my blog I found I had received two wonderful awards from my blog friend Nilla, so naturally that distracted me from work in hand. Firstly I must say thank you so very much Nilla. Now as I'm new to this blogging I've had to check the protocol here and it seems I pass my awards on, but I need to give this a little thought so will post up again later on that front. In the meantime here they are.
