Bunnies washing day

No idea what happened yesterday and only just realised this scheduled post was not where it should be.......Mr Bloggers fault of course, who else.

Before I tell you about this weeks new challenge at Allsorts, a quick reminder about the new Penny Black at Allsorts Challenge which starts on 1st July. If you have not already signed up what are you waiting for, pop over there now, we have some great themes lined up for you and of course fabby Penny Black stamps as prizes all being donated by Penny Black themselves.

This week at Allsorts, the DT were given images to use by this weeks sponsors Squiggle Stamps and the lovely Emma who is hosting this weeks challenge came up with a really great sketch to use.

I printed my image out several time so I could decoupage elements after colouring with Prismacolor pencils and Sakura pens. The DP is a an old piece from my stash and afraid I have absolutely no idea of the make.

I added a Magnolia flowers, some punched leaves and a beaded pin to embellish.

Inspirational Card Sketches

I am back again with my take on this weeks sketch at Inspirational Card Sketches and in an effort to build the stack of Christmas cards have opted for the seasonal theme for my card.

I have used Mr Happy and Cool - Penny Black 4003F, in fact three Mr Happy and Cools as I masked and decoupaged him to make a trio of snowmen going up the snowy hill.....do I live in fantasy world or what ? I have simply coloured them with Sakura pens and glittered them liberally. The DP is My Minds Eye and the large snowflakes are cut from the same paper and silver mirri through the bug with this super new snowflake cut and emboss folder and the small ones from a regular punch. The greeting is Penny Black 3995F, some gem brads in the centres of the snowflakes and glittery falling snow in the sky......fantasy world again.

Penny Black Challenge

Good morning to the bank holiday weekend everyone. A chilly start........I heard the heating click in for a few minutes in the early hours so I guess that's an indication that Autumn is close.

The gang over at the Penny Black challenge really have made life easy for me this week, the theme is Christmas. As as lots of you know, for the past week or so I have been creating Christmas cards with the new launch Penny Black stamps for Sir Stampalots Christmas launch which is running today and tomorrow. So needless to say this card is one of those.

The main image is Penny Black 30-036, the greeting 3995F and 3892K snow scroll which was one of last seasons releases. All are stamped with versafine black and embossed with detail clear and the angel coloured with Sakura pens. The punch is Martha Stewart embosses scallop and DP's My Minds Eye.

Penny Black and Cupcake challenges

Well first off I have news to share, just discovered that I made the Cupcake challenge Top 5 again this week, so thank you to all the team for selecting my card for their Black and White theme, it's a style I always enjoy.

I am combining two together with this card, Penny Black challenge which is "Swirls" and Cupcake this week is "Blossoms and Butterflies" which to me follow similar genres.
Lots of stamps used and of course some messy elements. The background was sprayed with Glimmer Mists lavender fields, lemon zest and honey dew mist, with a mask put in place before I sprayed to create a moon........I have some lovely coloured grass in my garden as I tend to do my spraying in the garden when it's dry.......doesn't everyone ?

The castle in the distance is Artstamps F0047M inked with Tim Holtz dusky concord, stamped off a couple of times before stamping onto my GM's piece of cardstock to give a faded effect. Flowers across the bottom are Penny Black 3948K inked with brilliance, lilac, thyme and gold and some stickles added at the end to highlight the flower heads. Penny Black swirl 2642 K has been stamped here and there again with Brilliance lilac and the little fairy is Rubberdubberdoo (it's wood mounted but there is no number), stamped both onto the main card and onto vellum, glittered and decoupaged.

The butterflies are Penny Black 3819D, stamped onto vellum and shrink plastic, which were coloured with sakura pens before shrinking. Leaves across the top are stamped with Art Impression F2055 using Brilliance thyme and the main card was stamped with swirly background Penny Black 3878F using Versafine purple and iridescent embossing powder.

Inspirational Card Sketchers, ABC and Creative Card Crew challenges

Were spoilt again at ICS this week with another of Dawn's fabby sketches. I have also combined this with ABC's them of "Two Tone - just two colours" and CCC's theme of "Whatever the weather" and for my card it's definately sunny.

I haven't used this stamp for ages, it's from the Artful Stamper -881A and I have gone for one of my favourite colour combos, green and lilac. My background has been Glimmer Misted with lily pad and timeless lilac with an overspray of pearl. Image is stamped with versafine back and embossed with iridescent - this was actually by mistake - I got out the wrong box ........ I know, the moral here is that you the label before you start, in an ideal world and all that with plenty of time...... but I actually quite like the softer effect.

I coloured he image with a wash using Sakura pens and added glitter here and there and gems to decorate. The roses are from a stock pile I stamped last week ready for colouring using a little Magenta rose (Tilda range) which I painted with Brilliance lilac and thyme, covered with detail clear whilst still wet and heat embossed. The leaves and swirl were cut on Cricut storybook, inked with the same Brilliance pads and heat embossed with detail clear.

I ran the top section of the card through the Cuttlebug using Swiss dots folder, DP is My Minds Eye - absolutely yummy this one, green with hues of lilac so perfect here. Finally a stick pin, perhaps a bit OTT, but quite like the finished article.

Penny Black Celebration

The Penny Black challenge is celebrating it's first birthday and aptly the theme this week is "Celebration - Any Celebrations". There is also blog candy on offer so check out their blog to see what you have to do to be in with a chance of winning. The layout of this card is following Jeanette's lovely sketch for Friday Sketchers so is also my entry for that challenge.

I have chosen a card suitable for a new arrival using Penny Black 30- 304 from Stampalot stamped with versafine black and embossed with detail clear and coloured teddy with a mixture of Marvy and Sakura pens, adding glitter to the flowers and butterflies. The tree is from the same set ........ and before anyone asks why the apples aren't red, it's because they are Russet's which are golden coloured so match the colour theme ! The greeting stamped with versafine majestic blue is from Stampsmith and DP's are from October Afternoon which I found on a trip to Capture the Magic.

Allsorts Challenge 5

What a great week we have had at Allsorts this week, a huge number of entries so thanks so much to all who took part and congrats the the winner of the Pink and White challenge.
This weeks theme has been chose by Gro who would like you to use triangles on your project, a little bit different you will all agree and should get your creative juices flowing.

For my DT card I have used Magenta 29110R - Floral Background which I stamped and embossed three times using versafine black and detail clear powder. I cut out the centre sections from two of the images, cut two into quarters and two in half, giving me different sized triangles. I have used just two colours of Sakura pens and coloured alternate triangles in a single colour, lightly inked the edges to give a shadow effect, and reassembled four of the smaller pieces onto each section of the main image and placed three of larger sections down the side.

Gems have been added to the centres of the flowers and I made up a stick pin in coordinating colours and tied with ribbon.

Stamp Something

A super challenge from Stamp Something this week "Pink Birthday Somethings".

I have used a new paper from Scrappy Cat which I stuck to the main card and then cut three circles with nesties on the cuttlebug. I took another sheet of darker bazzil, marked the placement of the circles, ran through using scalloped nesites one size down for each circle, cut it down to the exact size matching the circles and adhered to the back. I stamped the images onto acetate, again carefully lining up to the 'widows', coloured the back with sakura pens and placed inside the card.

The floral stamp is Hobby Art FL1824G (Stampalot) stamped with black stayzon, the greeting is Hero CL278 which I bent into a semi circle to fit the window. I utilised the smallest cut outs to make a tag and added a glittered butterfly using PB3819D stamped twice onto vellum. Embellished with a bow and pearls.

Cupcake challenge 57

This weeks Cupcake challenge set by Caryn is a real fun one - "5 different embellishments - you can use more than one flower or brad for example, but it will only count once!!".

Hopefully I've got enough, I've tried counting it all ways and think I'm there. The main image is Hero H5143 stamped in versafine black and embossed with detail clear and coloured with Sakura glaze pens. The circles are cut on the cuttlebug using nesties and just one the birdies stamped and coloured. Scallop cut on cricut PS and patterned paper is Prima, plus oddments of ribbon and lace.
I am also linking this post to the Funky Hands DT call.

Papertake Challenge

I thought I'd take part in some challenges and this one is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge. I had some lovely new brads which I've been itching to use which matched up well with some new paper from Best Creations so used these as my inspiration. The tiny owl from Hero Arts A4942 was an obvious stamp along with LP140 stamped with versafine black and embossed with detail clear. Owls are coloured in with Sakura glaze pens. The greeting is LL174 a set of four also from Hero.

Penny Black Challenge week 43

The challenge for Penny Black Challenge this week is "Easter" so I thought I would go with yellow as my main colour using this glittery piece of paper I found in my stash. The background for the stamped images has been sprayed with Glimmer Mists lemon zest, patina and iridescent gold. The stamp is Penny Black 3865K from Sir Stampalot stamped twice with versafine back and detail clear embossing powder, coloured with marvy and sakura pens. The decoupaged element has been diamond glazed and stickles added in the centre whilst still wet. Mount and scallop edge cut on the Cricut using Storybook and Plantin Schoolbook. The hatpin made up with pin and beads from (Spellbound).

Coming up on TV tomorrow

Here's another sneak peek at the stamps coming up on Ideal World at 11am tomorrow in Stamp Addicts live show. Stamps are all from JukiKins. The card and mats were cut on the Cricut using Plantin Schoolbook, and mounted on Daisy Bucket paper and coloured with Marvy and Sakura pens.
