Dopey Dime Bank Pin

In 2004, Walt Disney World Resort released a Pin of the Month series that celebrated vintage Disney collectibles including toys, games and posters. The Limited Edition pins were made available on the 15th of each month.

The April release featured the 1939 Dopey Dime Register Bank. Heavier than other pins this size, it even has a slot to deposit up to eight real dimes. Measures 1.875" x 1.875". Backside reads, "Limited Edition of 2500, Vintage Toys Collection 4 of 12, © Disney, Made in China" and has the 2004 Mickey Pin Trading logo. Original retail price $10.50 (USD).

Vintage Snow White Dime Banks

Beautifully lithographed, this Snow White dime register bank is made of tin and measures approximately 2.5" square and .75" tall. Copyright markings read "©1938 Walt Disney Enterprises." Dwarfs graphics appear on all four sides with bank instructions on bottom.

Once the first dime is inserted into the bank, the back slide-open door locks. When the bank has registered the insertion of $5.00 worth of dimes, the door unlocks and allows access to the coins.

There is also a Dopey dime register bank. It has identical measurements and functions the same as the Snow White bank. Copyright markings are slightly different, "©1939 Walt Disney Productions."

Wishes Coin Bank

Snow White's "Wishes" bank was sold at the Disney theme parks earlier this year and at Disneystore.com as well. Features Snow and the Dwarfs encircling the Wishing Well with a coin slot in the center. Made of plastic, it stands 12" tall and has a slider door on the bottom to get at the money. Original retail price $15.95 (USD).

Soaky Bubble Bath Bank

The Soaky Bubble Bath/Bank dates from the 1960s. Snow White's head on this first version functions as the top to the container. Once the bottle was empty, the slot on the back could be cut to be used for coin deposits.

Snow White Figure Bank

This Snow White bank was purchased from the Disney Store circa 2002. Composed of PVC plastic, it measures approximately 8.5" tall. Manufactured by Enesco as part of their Disney Classics collection. Made in China.
