Mexican Lobby Cards

Mexico early-1950s...

It's not easy pinpointing the year of certain Snow White Mexican movie posters. No dates are listed on these two lobby cards, but they do display the RKO logo in the lower right corner. Since RKO was the distributor for Disney features from 1937 to about the mid-1950s, it's a good indicator that these lobby cards fall within this time period, possibly the early '50s.

1964...

The next set of lobby cards are possibly from the 1964 Mexican theatrical release. All of the graphics are identical to those above, but these no longer bear the RKO logo. Rather they read, "Distribuido por Peliculas Rank de Mexico S.A."...Distributed by Rank Films of Mexico.

By the mid to late1950s, Disney had created its own Buena Vista distribution company, but it's interesting to see here that they had not yet picked up the Mexican market for Snow White. Instead the film was re-issued by Rank Films which was a UK based company. The highly-recognizable Rank logo of a man hitting a gong appears in the lower right corner of these posters.

1975...

These last two lobby cards both share the same style of artwork found on the 1975 North American one-sheets (as well as the Argentinian piece above).
